Kaya Dishcloth – First Dream of Mount Fuji (Hatsuyume Fuji)

Celebrates the auspicious tradition of Hatsuyume—the very first dream of the New Year, featuring Mount Fuji as a timeless omen of good luck, health, and prosperity.

Originating in the ancient capital of Nara, kaya-ori traditional dishcloths are celebrated for exceptional absorbency and a breezy, quick-drying weave.

  • Crafted in Japan
  • 100% cotton (multi-layer kaya weave gauze)
  • 30 cm × 30 cm (11.8" × 11.8")
  • Arrives with a protective starch coating. Soak in lukewarm water before first use to rinse it away, allowing the layers to relax into a soft, highly absorbent texture.
  • Fast-drying open weave prevents lingering odors; naturally lint-free for streakless dish and glassware drying
  • Machine wash gentle cold or hand wash; line dry in shade. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners.
