Seasons of Kyoto is an independent boutique based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, specializing in curated, imported Japanese lifestyle goods and textiles. We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or update these terms at our discretion.
2. Products, Handcrafted Variations & Accuracy
- Curation & Sourcing: We carefully curate and import authentic items directly from established makers in Japan.
- Artisan Characteristics: Many of our textiles (including tenugui, furoshiki, and kaya-ori dishcloths) involve traditional artisan dyeing, stencil, and weaving techniques. Minor irregularities, slight color shifts, and traditional design traits (such as unhemmed tenugui edges or natural plant-starch sizing on dishcloths) are authentic characteristics of these methods, not defects.
- Visual Accuracy: We make every effort to display product colors and textures accurately. However, slight variations may occur depending on your monitor settings and lighting.
3. Pricing & Payment
- All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless indicated otherwise by your browser's currency selector.
- Applicable taxes and shipping fees are calculated and clearly displayed during the checkout process.
- We reserve the right to correct pricing errors or cancel orders placed with inaccurate pricing information.
4. Shipping & Delivery
- Orders are packaged and dispatched from Ottawa, Ontario.
- Once a shipment is transferred to the postal or courier service (e.g., Canada Post), delivery timelines are subject to carrier handling, local weather, and transit conditions.
- Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping addresses at checkout.
5. Returns, Exchanges & Transit Issues
All returns, exchanges, and reports of damaged items are governed by our Returns, Exchanges & Damaged Goods Policy. Please review that policy for details regarding eligible timeframes, condition requirements, and instructions.

All original text, product guides, curated styling, photography, and brand graphics on this website are the property of Seasons of Kyoto and may not be copied, reproduced, or used commercially without our written consent.
7. Limitation of Liability
Seasons of Kyoto shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or misuse of our products, delays caused by shipping carriers, or temporary website downtime.
